2025 Events

Dogwood Performance Pavilion is located in beautiful Dogwood Park behind the Performing Arts Center in Cookeville Tennessee. A variety of events take place in the park including: 


Third Thursday in the Park Concerts

May 15, June 19, July 17, August 21 at 7:30 p.m.

Enjoy free concerts on the third Thursday of each month, May through August, at the Dogwood Performance Pavilion. A different band is featured each month, covering a variety of music genres. This series is sponsored by the Cookeville Arts Council.


After Dark Movies

June 6, June 13, June 20, & June 27 at 8p.m.

The After Dark Movies in the Park series, sponsored by Rep. Ryan Williams, brings family-friendly movies to Dogwood Park each Friday night in June. Bring a lawn chair and blanket. Concessions are available. Check out the Dogwood Park Facebook page after April 1 for titles as they are announced.


Community Band concerts

May 26, June 9, June 23, July 7, July 21 at 7:30p.m.

Cookeville Community Band performs free concerts every other Monday at Dogwood Performance Pavilion Memorial Day through July. Learn more about the Cookeville Community Band.


Shakespeare in the Park

Oct. 3 - Oct. 13   |   Nightly performances at 7 p.m.

Shakespeare's TROILUS and CRESSIDA

Sit under the stars and watch Shakespeare's classic plays come to life! Each year, one of Shakespeare's comedies or tragedies is performed for local audiences. Bring a chair, bring a picnic even, and absolutely bring a friend. This event is completely free and open to the public. Concessions will be open.  (Tennessee Recreation and Parks Association Best Program Award)


Cookeville Community Band Festival

June 14th 4:30 - 9:00 PM | Dogwood Park Performance Pavilion

Join us at the Dogwood Performance Pavilion on June 14th for the ANNUAL DOGWOOD COMMUNITY BAND FESTIVAL! This festival is FREE and open to all ages! The bathrooms and concession stand will be open all day. Bring a blanket or folding chair for more comfortable seating and settle in for a fun day full of music and community!

Enjoy a free visit with Santa and his elves at the Performance Pavilion in Dogwood Park! Jolly ol' Saint Nick has turned the pavilion stage into the North Pole. Don't forget to bring your camera!


Renting the Pavilion

The pavilion may be rented for events by emailing the Performing Arts Center Staff at RBennett@Cookeville-TN.gov provided the dates are available.
