Management & Specializations

The Administrative Services Division (ASD) is commanded by Captain Randy Brown, and encompasses:

  • Accreditation
  • Communications
  • Court Officer
  • Evidence
  • Information technology
  • Records

ASD is responsible for maintaining all official records of the department including:

  • Alarm and taxi permits
  • Crime and motor vehicle crash reports
  • Traffic citations
  • Videos
  • Numerous other records

ASD also responds to requests from:

  • Attorneys
  • Citizens
  • Insurance companies
  • Other law enforcement agencies

Background Check

Background checks are also available as well as evidence pickup and fingerprint services.

Communications Service

Communications processes emergency and non-emergency calls for service, and is staffed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. 911 is available for emergencies or call 931-526-2125 for non-emergency situations. Communications works with other departments in the City of Cookeville as well as Putnam County to ensure calls are answered in an effective and timely manner.

Incident Reports

Incident Reports may be picked up 3 to 5 days after an incident occurs, and are available for $0.15 per page. Crash reports are available on the Buy Crash website.
