In 2016 the City of Cookeville initiated Envision Cookeville, a long range visioning process for the municipality. This encompasses the flowing phases
Phase 1
The first phase of this process was the soliciting of input from the public regarding 5 broad development factors that will affect the future of the city.
Phase 2
The second phase was completion of the 2016 Citizen Survey where 500 randomly selected Cookeville residents were asked to rank in terms of importance 7 different issues under the 5 development factors. Significant progress has been made by the city to address the identified issues.
