[ARCHIVED] City of Cookeville Requesting Bids for the Construction of Spring Street Sidewalks

The City of Cookeville is seeking bids for the construction of sidewalks on SR-24 (East Spring Street).

The project consists of construction of approximately 2,400 ft. of 5' sidewalks along the north side of SR-24/East Spring Street, from just west of Carlen Avenue to Raider Drive and along Carlen Avenue, from SR-24 to the school. The work to be done consists of installation of curb and gutter with 2' grass buffer strip, crosswalks, storm water drainage improvements, replacement of guardrail as necessary, and construction of ADA curb ramps. This project is funded in part by a Multi Modal Access Grant through the Tennessee Department of Transportation.

A Prime Contractor must prequalify with the Department of Transportation in accordance with Section 54-5-117 of the “Tennessee Code Annotated” and Tennessee Department of Transportation Rule 1680-5-3 prequalification of contractors before biddable proposals will be furnished.
