Sealed bids will be received by the City of Cookeville Department of Water Quality Control until 2:00 PM, Tuesday, January 28, 2025, for the 2025 South Creek Area Low Pressure Sewer Project. This project consists of installing approximately 10,300 L.F of new 2”, 3”, and 4” low pressure sewer force main along with approximately 106 low pressure service connections.
Contract documents, including Instructions for Bidders, are available in the Department of Water Quality Control Office, 1860 South Jefferson Avenue, Cookeville, TN 38506 (Phone (931) 520-5227, email mgamble@cookeville-tn.gov). There is a $100.00 non-refundable charge for each set of contract documents. No bids will be received or accepted after the above-specified time for the opening of bids. Technical questions regarding the contract documents should be addressed to Matthew Phillips at mdp@cookeville-tn.gov.
Bids shall be accompanied by a cashier's or bank check or Bid Guarantee Bond in the amount not less than Five Percent (5%) of the bid and subject to the conditions provided in the Instructions for Bidders. Bids shall also be accompanied by an affidavit of a drug-free workplace as required by T.C.A. 50-9-113 and as detailed in the Instructions for Bidders.
The successful bidder will be required to furnish an acceptable Performance and Payment Bond in the amount of One Hundred Percent (100%) of the contract price, each Bond.
All bidders must be licensed contractors to perform the type construction herein described as required by Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 62, Chapter 6, “The Contractors Licensing Act of 1994” as amended.
The City reserves the right to waive any irregularities or reject any or all bids as deemed in the best interest of the City, and in the event all bids are rejected, the project may be re-advertised.
