The City of Cookeville has contracted Rogers Group to mill and pave Raider Drive from East Spring Street to Old Kentucky Road.
Milling work is scheduled to begin on Tuesday, November 26. To minimize impacts on school traffic, work will start after 8:00 AM and end by 2:30 PM on that day. On Wednesday, November 27, more intensive work will take place throughout the day as school's will not be in session.
Paving is tentatively scheduled for December 4 – 6, depending on weather conditions. Daytime temperatures must reach at least 40°F for paving to proceed. The City will confirm the paving schedule on Monday, December 2.
While milling and paving are taking place, Raider Drive will be closed to through traffic but will remain open to residents and emergency vehicles.
