The City of Cookeville's Public Works Department will be planting trees and shrubbery along the Neal Street median this week. Planting will begin today and take place in all landscape islands from approximately 430 Neal Street to the Ruby Lane intersection.
Crews and equipment will need to partially close the innermost lanes along the street while working on the landscape islands. The outer lanes, moving in both directions, will be unaffected.
The City asks drivers to remain mindful of workers and their safety while travelling along Neal Street. Please slow down when driving through work zones.
