The City of Cookeville launched updates to its official website Thursday, May 2.
One of the most significant changes to the city website comes in the form of mobile usability. While the previous site was not designed with cellphone users in mind, the new site dynamically changes to suit any screen size be it phone, tablet, or computer.
City officials also believe the new “Popular Resources” section of the home page will be particularly helpful to site visitors and city residents. This section prominently features navigation links to the most sought-after city services and recreational opportunities.
Officials also stressed that this is just the beginning of the website’s overhaul. In the coming months, site visitors can expect improvements to the site’s navigation as well as updates to the information curated by the City and city departments.
The website redesign is part of the City’s continued efforts to provide citizens with straightforward access to information and residential services. To see the redesign for yourself, visit cookeville-tn.gov.
