[ARCHIVED] Halloween Treat Trail at Dogwood Park

Spooky things are afoot in Dogwood Park. The Cookeville Treat Trail invites children to come trick-or-treat inside the park this Halloween!

The Treat Trail is an annual trick-or-treating event hosted by Cookeville’s Leisure Services Department and Hip Cookeville. This free event welcomes families to celebrate the holiday in a safe and festive way.

"We really enjoy seeing the creativity and enthusiasm of children during this time of year,” says Rick Woods, Director of Cookeville’s Leisure Services. “The Treat Trail gives children an opportunity to put on costumes and trick-or-treat in a safe, accessible environment. We’re pleased to partner with hip Cookeville to make this event possible.”

During the event, local businesses set up booths along the walking trail in Dogwood Park. Children visit each booth to trick-or-treat and collect candy. The Treat Trail also includes fun family-friendly games and activities like a themed photo booth!

Woods states that his department is “incredibly grateful to local sponsors for contributing candy and fun activities to this event!"

The Cookeville Treat Trail welcomes children under the age of thirteen to participate. The event takes place at Dogwood Park on Oct. 31 from 4 p.m. – 6 p.m. Children and families will line up at the rose garden entrance of the park.  Families must be in line by 5:30 p.m. to participate in the event.
