[ARCHIVED] Public Notice - Shelter Temporarily Closed to the Public

Cookeville-Putnam County Animal Shelter will be temporarily closed to the public due to Covid related staff shortages. We plan to resume normal operations on Saturday, October 23^rd. Please check our Facebook page for updates.

The shelter will continue to accept incoming animals from Animal Control while we are closed to the public. Please call Animal Control for assistance with stray, injured or aggressive animals.

For lost/found pets or non-emergent questions, please call the shelter at 931-526-3647. Messages will be checked and calls returned at least twice daily. You may also email jtracy@cookeville-tn.gov

People that have lost or found a pet are also encouraged to check and post on local Facebook pages such as Rescue 931 Cookeville and Surrounding Areas or Lost and Found Pets Cookeville. Shelter staff also monitor these pages regularly.
