City of Cookeville Bid Notice

Items from Cedar Stak N Pak

 

The City of Cookeville is offering for sale by sealed bid property consisting of salvageable building materials located at 29 North Cedar Avenue (formerly the location of Cedar Stak N Pak).  The materials are as follows:

 

8 ft. x 10 ft. roll-up doors (44),

3 ft. x 10 ft.  roll-up doors (2),

36 in. x 81 in. walk-thru doors (9),

25 ft. trusses (103),

15 ft. trusses (86),

approximately 612 sheets of ½ in. OSB fastened by nails, and

630 ft. of 5 in. gutter.  

 

 

Terms and Conditions:

  1. All items are sold AS IS WHERE IS, NO WARRANTIES EXPRESS OR IMPLIED.
  2. The City of Cookeville reserves the right to reject any and all bids.
  3. All sales are final.
  4. The bid accepted must be paid in full at acceptance. If not, the second bidder will be awarded the property.
  5. The purchaser must remove the purchased items no later than Friday, November 12, 2021 by 4:00 pm.
  6. The materials offered for sale may be inspected prior to submitting a bid by contacting the City Manager at (931) 520-5241.
  7. The purchaser must not damage any other property while removing the items purchased.
  8. The Public Works Department will supervise the moving of items.
  9. Items not removed by Friday, November 12, 2021 at 4:00 pm are forfeited, and the City may re-sell said items or dispose of them in any manner.
  10. Rules for bidding:

 

  • Items may be bid individually or in lots in each category, or overall for all items.
  • When all bids are received the City will determine the best bid as the highest bid for each category. For example, if a bid is made of for 1or more doors and the bid for all doors is higher, the bid for all doors will be accepted.
    1. The City will then compare the individual category bids to the bids for all items and the highest bid to achieve the most money for the City will be accepted.
  • The decision of the City in selecting the highest bid is final.
  • At the Conclusion of the bid opening, the City will analyze the bids and regroup categories and the entire group to achieve the highest price. The decision of the City on how to re-group the bids to achieve the highest price is final.
  • Each bidder must include proof of liability insurance to cover the removal of items with the bid.
  • Sealed bids should be addressed to the office of the City Manager and will be accepted until the bid opening on Monday, October 11, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. in Council Chambers at Cookeville City Hall located at 45 East Broad Street, Cookeville, Tennessee.
  • No bids will be accepted after this time.
