         AT COOKEVILLE PERFORMING ARTS CENTER

All Cookeville City Court cases which were scheduled for a court date in Cookeville City Court at any time between November 1, 2020 and March 30, 2021 have been continued until April 132021 at 9:00 a.m. at the Cookeville Performing Arts Center, 10 E. Broad St., Cookeville, TN. You will be expected to appear in court on that date unless you have satisfied your case prior to April 13th.

You may contact the City Court Clerk’s office at 931-520-5254 or by email at chix@cookeville-tn.gov to: request a trial on the charge against you; discuss payment of your ticket in advance to avoid a court appearance;  make arrangements to complete a driving school; request a continuance; or for any other City Court business.  If, after speaking to the City Court Clerk, you desire to satisfy your case without the necessity of appearing in court, you may do so by paying the amount of your citation by mail, or by personal delivery (during regular business hours) of the amount shown on your citation, to Cookeville City Court, 45 E. Broad St., Cookeville, TN 38501.

NOTICE:   if you neglect to pay your ticket or if you fail to appear in court on your newly scheduled court date, your failure to appear and pay, or make arrangements to pay, will be reported to the State and may result in the suspension of your driver’s license by the Department of Safety.  However, your failure to pay court fines and costs will not result in the suspension of your driver’s license if you have been determined to be Indigent in Court by the Judge.  Without such determination, your failure to satisfy the ticket may result in suspension of your license.

There may be a large number of people in attendance at the Cookeville Performing Arts Center on the April 13, 2021 court date.  You will be required to comply with recommended social distancing measures that are in place on those dates.  Such measures shall include wearing a mask, social distanced seating, staggered entrance times, limited in-person contact in and around the Cookeville Performance Arts Center, and such other measures as may be necessary to minimize in-person contact.
