On Monday, June 2, The City of Cookeville will permanently close the recycling center located at 1191 South Jefferson Avenue.
The center, which has served the community for many years, is currently situated on privately owned land. The City is grateful to the property owner for graciously allowing the land to be used as a public recycling site.
The recycling center will eventually reopen at a new location on West Davis Road. Until the new site opens on West Davis Road, a temporary recycling center will be installed at 760 Whitson Avenue. Residents are encouraged to use the temporary center and the recycling center at 335 E Stevens Street for their recycling needs.
