[ARCHIVED] PUBLIC NOTICE: Leaf Collection Guidelines and Safety

As we enter the leaf collection season, please remember the following important safety rules and guidelines to ensure a smooth and safe pickup process.

Important Safety Guidelines:

  • Place leaves as close to the curb or side of the street as possible.

  • Do NOT place leaves in ditches, or around structures such as mailboxes, meter lids, utility poles, or wires.

  • Do NOT place leaves in the street – this can create a traffic hazard.

  • Only leaves, please! Foreign debris (sticks, trash, etc.) in leaf piles can damage the collection machinery, and your leaves will not be picked up if debris is found.

Collection Timeline:

  • Loose leaves will be collected from November through March 15.

  • After March 15th, please bag all leaves for pickup. Call 520-5201 to arrange pickup.

  • Loose leaves are collected every 3-4 weeks, weather permitting. No call-ins are necessary for regular collection from November to March 15.

  • To ensure your leaves are collected during the final rotation, please have them ready by the last week in February.
