The Cookeville Police Department unveiled their new Terradyne Armored Police Vehicle this week. The vehicle, which will be used for violent crime intervention, was purchased with a grant from the Violent Crimes Intervention Fund (VCIF) and funds from the the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA).
The entire community is invited to come out and see Cookeville's armored police vehicle at this week's Touch A Truck Extravaganza. Touch A Truck is this Saturday, June 15, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Putnam County Fairground located at 200 East Veterans Drive. This free event features a wide variety of trucks, construction equipment, emergency vehicles, helicopter and more for the kids to climb on and learn about!
