[ARCHIVED] Cookeville Lane Closures Planned May 28 – June 7

Street Milling and Paving in North Cedar Area

The City of Cookeville will mill and pave various streets across Cookeville over the next two weeks. Drivers should anticipate temporary lane closures from May 28 – June 7.

City contractors from Rogers Group, Inc will begin milling next Tuesday, May 28. Traffic control flaggers will help direct traffic through work areas and past closed lanes. 

The following streets will be milled next Tuesday through Thursday, May 28 – 30:

  • South Maple Avenue (East Veterans to Spring Street) 
  • North Cedar Avenue (West Broad to West 2nd Street)
  • Dover Drive
  • Copperfield Drive
  • Blaine Avenue
  • Robinwood Lane

Paving is planned for the week of June 1 on the streets above and at the following locations:

  • Whitson Avenue (East Stevens to Commerce Avenue)
  • Estle Way
  • The Villages on Broad Street
  • Portions of the Magnolia Creek subdivision
  • The alleyway beside Cream City
  • The alleyway behind businesses on West Broad Street (parallel to the railroad)

The City asks drivers to proceed with caution through these work zones. Any questions about the milling or paving of these areas can be directed to the city’s Public Works Department at 931-520-5249.
