The City of Cookeville Department of Water Quality Control will be closing N Washington Avenue between 10th and 12th Streets on Thursday, September 12th between the hours of 3 am until 3 pm. The department plans to keep one lane open going north and south from 3 am - 7 am. All lanes will be open between the hours of 7 am - 8 am for school traffic. After the school rush hour, N Washington will be completely closed between 10th and 12th Streets. Detour routes have been set up to direct traffic around N Washington utilizing 9th Street, Dixie Avenue, and 12th Street as shown.
Businesses will remain open along N Washington during the road closure. Please use the access drives located along 10th Street or 12th Street to access the businesses in this area.
