Stevens Street Recycling Site Daily Entrance Closure
Beginning Monday, February 16, 2026, the City of Cookeville Public Works Department will begin demolition at the Stevens Street recycling site as part of the proposed redevelopment of the property.
For safety reasons, the front entrance off Stevens Street will be closed daily from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. while construction crews are present.
The recycling site will remain accessible through the rear entrance located off Baron Court. Residents may reach this entrance by traveling east at the traffic light located at the intersection of East Jackson Street and Baron Court (see map).
The City appreciates the public’s patience and cooperation during this temporary closure.
