The first of two (2) Power Transformers is being delivered
this morning to East Cookeville Substation. The second unit will be delivered in mid-August. The purchase price of $1.5 million was
approved by the Cookeville City Council on 10/5/2017. The units are being replaced due to a failure
of one of the existing transformers. Once installed, the new units will provide increased capacity and
enhanced reliability for our electric customers. Thanks to everyone involved for their assistance.
