The City of Cookeville is proud to introduce Sydney Boggs as the city’s new Communications and Marketing Manager. Originally from South Pittsburg, Tennessee, Boggs will graduate this December from Tennessee Technological University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, concentrating in Marketing, along with minors in Business Administration and Social Science.
Boggs expressed her enthusiasm for stepping into this new role. “I am very excited to take this next step in my career,” Boggs said. “It’s an honor to help keep the public informed and engaged with what’s happening in our community.”
As the Communications and Marketing Manager, Boggs will report directly to James Mills, Cookeville City Manager.
“The position is vital for ensuring our citizens are informed and kept up to date on the many current and planned projects for the city. The interview team was particularly impressed with Ms. Boggs’s communication skills and marketing knowledge. We are excited to welcome Sydney to the City of Cookeville team,” said Mills.
Boggs brings valuable marketing experience to the position, having completed several internships that strengthened her skills in communication and public engagement. In her new role, she will continue to grow the city’s social media presence, introduce creative new ideas, and keep pace with emerging trends to better inform Cookeville’s residents. Boggs will also manage the city’s website and assist in developing new tools for sharing updates on city projects and municipal services.
