FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
The Merry and Bright Tour of Lights Map is released
COOKEVILLE, TN — The City of Cookeville Leisure Services Department is announcing the start of its 2025 Merry and Bright Holiday Home Challenge, an annual community event that highlights local residents who decorate their homes for the Christmas season. The program includes the official Tour of Lights map, which features participating locations throughout Cookeville, Baxter and Algood.
The map guides residents and visitors through a self-paced driving tour of decorated holiday homes. Hidden Hollow Park is also included on the map as a highlighted stop due to its historical significance and longstanding tradition of holiday light displays.
Participants and viewers are reminded that homes included in the challenge are not required to have their decorations fully installed until Nov. 30. Those who begin the tour early may find that some displays are still in progress.
The City of Cookeville extends its appreciation to the sponsors who support this community event. This year’s sponsors include the Dakota Langdon with Highlands Elite Real Estate, Hidden Hollow Park, Putnam County Democratic Party, Therapeutic Interventions and UCChristmas.com. The Tour of Lights map was created by the Cookeville Planning Department under the direction of David Bailey, GIS Systems Manager. Their support helps make the Merry and Bright Holiday Home Challenge possible each year.
