CITY OF COOKEVILLE SURPLUS PROPERTY

The City of Cookeville is soliciting written proposals, on a competitive basis, from interested and qualified companies or professionals to provide Auctioneer Services for the sale of surplus property. The proposal, as submitted, should include all estimated costs related to the services requested in this RFP.  If selected, your proposal will be received by the City of Cookeville Planning Division no later than 4:30 p.m. on Friday, June 23, 2023. The City is requesting auctioneer services for one (1) parcel located on Hunter Avenue, Tax Map 053-A, Group G, Parcel 008.00 and consisting of 0.48 acres.  The subject property is zoned RS-10, “Single-Family Residential.” The subject property is served by all public utilities.  A 15-foot utility easement will be established along the western boundary with Hunter Avenue for existing electric utilities, and a 20-foot utility easement be established along the eastern boundary for an existing sewer line.   The property also includes a TVA transmission line easement along the eastern portion of the property.  

At the May 4, 2023, City Council Meeting, the Cookeville City Council approved declaring the property as surplus.  An online, absolute auction was approved by the Council as the means of sale.

Each Request for Proposal will be evaluated on the submitted experience, exposure, and merits.
