[ARCHIVED] Dogwood Park fountain repair delayed

Dogwood Park fountain

COOKEVILLE – Dogwood Park patrons will have to wait a few more weeks to enjoy a fully operational fountain.

The fountain, a popular water feature in downtown Cookeville, has been flowing since early April, but its interactive deck jets have been inoperable since last fall.

“We’ve had some really unfortunate setbacks in this fountain repair process,” Rick Woods, Cookeville Leisure Services director, said. “We really appreciate everyone’s patience.”

SiteWorks LLC, based in Nashville, was awarded the bid to do the repair work.

“They indicated there was a delay in the availability of parts and control components,” Woods said. “Therefore, we anticipate a few more weeks before repairs can be made and hope we’ll be up and running at full capacity later this summer.”
