[ARCHIVED] Third Thursday concert series presents Bluegrass Solutions June 20

Bluegrass Solutions band members gather.

COOKEVILLE – Indulge in a night of banjo, mandolin and fiddle playing June 20 as Bluegrass Solutions takes the stage for Dogwood Park’s next Third Thursday in the Park concert.

The show begins at 7:30 p.m. at 30 E. Broad St. Admission is free.

“Third Thursday concerts are a great way to hear some fine music in the cool of the evening,” Chad McDonald, Cookeville Leisure Services cultural arts superintendent, said.

Bluegrass Solutions features band members Mike Rittenberry on guitar, Butch Sells on banjo, Chad Anderson on mandolin, Seth Dellehay on bass and Steve Day on fiddle.

“They are a great group of local guys who love to play together,” McDonald said.

This summer’s Third Thursday in the Park concert series also includes bluegrass gospel group The Believers on July 18. The Aug. 15 band will be announced at a later date.

Attendees may use the amphitheater-style seating in the park or a bring lawn chair or blanket. Concessions are available.

The series is presented by Cookeville Leisure Services with additional funding from the Cookeville Arts Council.
